What username and password do I use to log in to ILN?
Access to ILN is set up with single sign-on for IEEE email accounts. Your password is the same as you use on any other IEEE system.
Who is required to take IEEE Standard Association (IEEE SA) Training?
The SASB resolved that the Understanding IEEE SA’s Antitrust, Competition, and Commercial Terms Policies training shall be completed by Standards Committee/Working Group Officers within 90 days of appointment as such or by 31 December 2023, whichever is later.
How will I know if I’m required to take compliance courses?
Upon the acceptance of an SA Standards Officer role or when training is due (current IEEE SA Standards Committee Officers and Working Group Officers ), volunteers will be notified by email.
How does training required as part of my role with IEEE Standards Association (IEEE SA) differ from IEEE Compliance Training?
IEEE SA training is in addition to IEEE Compliance Training. It provides IEEE SA Standards Committee Officers and Working Group Officers with IEEE SA-specific knowledge and resources to fulfill their roles.
Can I receive Professional Development Hours (PDHs) for these trainings?
Yes, these courses qualify for Professional Development Hours (PDHs). You will receive a certificate of completion for the course right from the ILN; the certificate will indicate the number of PDHs/CEUs earned.
How much of a time commitment are these courses?
The length of IEEE SA required courses varies depending on the learning objectives. The average length is represented on the landing page of each course. The time commitment listed is average and participants will consume the content at rates based on their previous experience and comfort level with particular topics.

Do I need to complete the entire course in one sitting?
No. You do not have to take an entire course in one sitting. Your progress is saved along the way. Your completion of each course will be automatically tracked and upon completion, you will be issued a Certificate. Additionally, the course will be available in your official transcript. You may still wish to print and retain a completion certificate for your records.
How many times can I retake a course assessment?
You can retake the end of module Knowledge Checks and end of course assessments an unlimited number of times and do not need to repeat the entire module to do so. The purpose of knowledge checks is not to trip you up to fail, but rather to act as a yardstick to gauge your progress. You can choose to retake the entire module, review particular content, or simply retake the assessment by accessing the appropriate content from the module’s table of content.
